The Cheshire Dog Display Team is made up of a wide variety of dogs of all shapes and sizes from a range of backgrounds including rescue dogs, pet dogs and doggie stars from the world of TV and photographic modelling. Among the canine stars are the teams GSDS: Abbey, Inca, Scooby, Bramble, Holly, Ryan, Jag, Seb, Kai, Kim and Ben. These dogs play a tremendous role in promoting GSDS to the public at major outdoor events throughout the country.

The team’s GSDS are superb examples of socially acceptable doggie companions and demonstrate to the public not only the working capabilities and talents of the GSD but also their loving nature and value as a magnificent family pet. GSDS are an intelligent breed that love to be stimulated mentally as well as physically , participating in the displays gives them the opportunity to do this which they relish.

From obedience, to agility, to jumping through hoops of fire the dogs excel tackling each challenge with enthusiasm, the team’s GSDS really do have fun.

GSDS have always been represented in the display team. Recently retired are Kai, a true showman and Seb, a German bred dog born in quarantine, luckily for the team new dogs have taken their places and although much missed GSDS continue to entertain the crowds.

Abbey, the team’s all black GSD was absent for half of the 2004 season due to her becoming a mum in September , so Inca, her daughter and Scooby the puppies dad had to step into the limelight demonstrating courage, bravery and control during the team’s police dog routines.

All the team’s dogs are special in their own right but the GSD’S consistently prove themselves a firm favourite with the crowd. We hope that by continuing to promote the breed as an excellent working dog as well as superb family pet then the team’s dogs will continue to play their part as ambassadors for our wonderful breed – the GSD.
